A great value in the Bay AreaMy spouse and I booked this hotel for our base of operations while visiting family in Oakland. Total Enjoyment!We stayed in building 2 in a king size water front suite for business & leisure. The room was spotless & spacious. They had bathrobes for use & you could purchase them, but I wanted to take home the bathroom!!! Great soaking tub, separate huge shower, & separate water closet. The Inn and Suites are run like TWO hotels.I was a bit confused by the reviews. Some were horrible, some wonderful. Once we were here it is apparent why the reviews vary. The Suites side (our side) of the hotel is new, tastefully decorated, and very clean. Our King/King waterfront room is large and the view very nice. Overall advantage spot!Our decision to stay here was a last minute adventure trip for the midweek. The hotel is centrally located with a shuttle service to BART, ferries, Jack London Sqauare, etc. Our first driver was an absolute gem, even took us to our actual destination because he had a little extra time. Great stayWe recently stayed at this hotel. The rooms are quite large, beds comfortable, pool and spa just the right temperature. Complimentary newspapers, hor'doerves in the evening, and breakfast were plusses. Very knowledgeable desk clerks. Great view of San Francisco at sunset, nice to be on the water.2 of 2 Yahoo! I keep going backI have found this location to be very a convenient place to stay. The staff is very efficient, helpful and hospitable. The rooms are clean and roomy. Very good service...Stayed Mon-Thu for business, July 2005. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were big and had a beautiful view of the water. The shuttle service was superb, prompt and professional. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast and also a light dinner during happy hour. You have to buy your own drinks. Suites Are Very Nice For The MoneyI booked a three night get away (Thurs - Sat) in September and enjoyed our stay. I booked a King suite with a water view. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was on-site security and the free parking was in well lit areas. We were 5 minutes from Jack London Square with fun & dining of all types and price ranges. GuestA very poor hotel. Our swimsuits bleached out in the pool and the staff's reaction was simply that it had never happened before--no apologies or offers to rectify. The shuttle ends at 10 p.m. so if you have a late flight you are out of luck. LOTS of freeway noise.
