The hotel was wonderful. It had great service, great location...the only thing I can't think of that wasn't good was that it wasn't completely oceanfront(oceanside top floor has some ocean views)....the pool was also a bit small...I would recommend this hotel strongly.

I just got home. The room seemed very clean, but smelled of smoke. That was my fault for not booking in time to get a non smoking room. It wasnt a great value, but what is at the outer banks? The pool was very well maintained,and Open.

I will stay there again. Most motels at the Outer Banks are dumps. I liked it better than the Marlin, I stayed at both this week.

Make sure you read the rate documents thoroughly before signing. These people are dishonest. They will quote you one rate and a higher rate will appear on the paper for you to sign. Beware!

Walking distance to the beach. Helpful staff. I stayed in January and will be back in the summer. I had the best waffles at their free breakfast.

Front Desk lady wonderful and very helpful. The shining light in the place. After first day took face towels and bath mat and did not replace them. Sloppy making of the bed.

We have stayed at many comfort inns before and been very happy with them. Therefore I was very disappointed upon arriving at the one in Buxton. The rug was spotted, the refrigator was tilted out from the wall and the freezer in it was frozed shut with ice. When told about the refrigator, the staff did come quickly and fix the problem.

We stayed there on memorial weekend 2005. Average lookong room. Rooms were dusty. Maid serivice did not replace anything used such as cups, coffee ect. We had to go to the front desk to just get a roll of toilet paper. We also came back twice and found our rooms door pulled over but not closed. Any one could have walked into our room.
