Stay here to save money until November 2008
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/03/08
We stayed here from March 14th to March 22nd. A nice location (just 6 blocks from the beach walk, 4 blocks from Post office, ABC Convenience store just 1 block away). The room was ok (was on 12th floor with city/ocean view from balcony). The lobby was excellent. When we got off elevator on 12th floor, water stains on carpet... in the room, some ...
This was our first trip to Hawaii, and wanted it to be the best. Even after reading the past reviews of the Hotel, we were very impressed with the service and hospitality of the staff. Our room was very nice, and had a great view of the city, and yes... The ocean (23rd Floor). The hotel is within walking distance from the beach and all the ...

Would stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/06
The room was fine and clean. The bed was queen sized and comfortable. There is a refrigerator and in room coffee. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the dining room is very lovely and restful. The valet parking staff was especially courteous and helpful. The desk clerks were as well.It is within walking distance to the beach and shopping. I think it is a great value and would stay here again.
Older reviews are no longer accurate. The hotlel has under gone a renovation. Some of the rooms still need some work and are in the process of being remodeled. This is a class place, like being in Paris or Rome.

Some rooms are better than others.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/05
This is a old-world Euro Boutique hotel. It is very fancy with stunning architecture.
I consider this to be one of my favorite hotels in the world.
Some of the cheaper rooms are not quite as nice - you get what you pay for.

Dream Vacation?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/05
Upon arrival to our hotel on 9/3/2005 (10:30 pm) we were told that there had been a glitch in the computer system and that our reservation at Royal Garden didn't begin until 9/5/2005, however, they had relocated us to the Pacific Mariner until 9/5/2005. We were forced to find this hotel on our own which was located by the airport. It ...

Not what I had hoped
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/05
The lobby was beautiful, but the rooms were somewhat shabby. Both pools were closed, and one of the restaurants was closed. Valet parking only. The hotel did not live up to the descriptions that I read online. The hotel seems like it was probably a very nice place to stay about 20-30 years ago.
This Hotel is truly 5star I love the marble bathrooms and the great cozy beds they have..very comfortable and warm place to be .. the breakfast buffet was great as well very nice friendly staff. the valet parking guys were very nice to us.. if you get a chance and can afford it check out Royal Gardens In Hawaii
