We loved grand lido the food was very good, the grand lido staff was very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. Our room was on the clothing optional beach area and we loved it.We made friends with the staff members and on our second night there we recieved a bottle of champagn as a thank you for coming back to their resort for two years in a ...

  • Nude vs prude
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/25/07
We thought our room showed age until we visited next door at Hedo II. The place needs to be upgraded...no swim up bar, no ESPN (but three 24/7 soccer channels) and although the food was good, it was not nearly as good as we remembered 15 years ago (please get back the old pastry chef!). Service was the best anywhere and we heard that the wedding ...

  • Heaven on Earth
    By Mellissa G, 09/29/07
This is my favourite all inclusive in Jamaica, can't count the amount of times I have been there. It's relaxing, comfortable, the staff wonderful the beach is breathtaking, the food is excellent. If I had to say one dislike about the hotel is the pool being so close to the main dinning area. It makes it a little uncomfortable to go to the pool whenever you want but then again there is the nude pool for brave souls lol.

  • Don't waste your money!

Grand Lido is not even close to being 5 star! Our friends booked their wedding at GLN for September. Our travel agent gave it rave reviews. She said it was better than Sandals Negril. We had a wonderful time at Sandals in 2006, so we couldn't imagine it being better.
GLN was a huge disappointment for the cost. Don't be fooled by the 24 ...

    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 07/04/07
My sisters and I had taken my parents to Grand Lido for their 50th anniversery. We had reserved 4 oceanview rooms a year before we our date. We had made all the rooms together and when we arrived it took 2 hours to get into our rooms and we ended up all over the place. Two of the rooms were oceanview on one side of the compound and two of the rooms ...

  • Upscale, but Boring
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 05/11/07
We've been to 5 different resorts in Jamaica. (30-something, kids, professionals, happily married.) We thought we'd try SuperClub's flagship Grand Lido. Yes, it is outstandingly beautiful. The big beach is gorgeous, and the service is great. But honestly, the food was mediocre (much better at Hedonism II next door). We enjoy the au ...

  • My favorite place on earth
    By Shadow, 04/02/07
You are greeted with Mimosas; treated like royalty. It's a very beautiful resort. The staff are very friendly and respectful, the selection of restaurants is fantastic. There is so much to do and so much to see. My only advice is to stay longer than a week; you need at least ten days to thoroughly enjoy the pleasures Grand Lido Negril has to offer.

  • three nights is not enough
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/15/07
This was our first vacation to a resort of this type so we did not know what to expect. The bus ride from the airport took one-and-a-half hours. When we were delivered to the entrance I was very impressed with the beauty of the resort. The lobby, with its huge floral arrangement and artwork on the walls, is gorgeous.

We ended up in room 1002 ...

We were treated like we were the only people there. It was the best vacation we had ever taken. We loved it. The service was second to none and the beach was very clean and well taken care of.
