The hotel as a whole is not bad at all. There's nice pools, the service is above average, and the food is good and relatively cheap.
The rooms, however, weren't as impressive. It had a humid, sticky and sometimes dirty feel inside, like a summer cottage lived in a few weeks a year.

there are different hotels that range from poor to excellent and you get what you pay for. the nicer hotels are great but cost more the inn wing where i stayed was like staying in a closet with two beds and not very easy on the eyes. the garden wing is alot better and more roomier, the ambassador wing is the greatest. the Atrium is great to eat buffet is good for 300 bhat, about $7.50.

A very large hotel (most rooms of any hotel in Asia, I'm told) which has seen its finest days.

The pools are fantastic, particularly if you have young children.

The location is terrible. It is in the middle of nowhere. You must take a taxi to go anywhere. It does have a small beachfront with nice views of the water. But the beach is unattractive.
