We stayed at Dreams Tulum for one week in early June. The rooms were nice by Mexico Hotel standards. AC worked 24 hrs a day. The facility is very well kept and clean. Stayed for 8 days, would never go back. Often smells like a sewer throughout the resort; two family members became ill (food/water?); had to move rooms twice, once due to foul smell, once due to proximity to the loud techno-music that kept us awake every night. Drinks have little alcohol. Plus side - pool and grounds were nice, though the beach is mostly sharp coral beneath the waterline, making it less than ideal for swimming.

It is too bad that employees can ruin a beautiful place. During the nightly room turn down our belongings were gone through and cash from our beach bag was taken, we had all of our valuables locked in the safe and they were untouched but we no longer felt safe with them there so we carried them with us everywhere for the rest of vacation. Staff seem concerned at the time but never got back to us or did any type of compensation.

My husband and I were married on the beach. It was fantastic. I had a personal wedding planner that helped with all the details. The staff was great, very friendly and quite funny. Travelers posting a bad review must not have been staying at the same resort we were at. Nothing but first class from minute of arrival to departure. Truly all we expected and more!!! Staff was very friendly and always courteous and willing to do whatever it took to make us comfortable. Food and drinks were excellent. Truly a "Dream" vacation. Thanks!!!
