Chateau Du CRAPThe only good thing about this place is the location. From the moment we arrived, the place gave me the creeps. The room number was scribbled on our door in pencil. i wouldn't stay here againther room was dirty. everything was unclean. carpet had gum on it. nothing had been dusted. windows were gross. the ice machine was dirty. there were no towels. the front desk was rude. there was no remote for the tv. the hotel was bad. there were roaches in the room.OVERALLServiceCleanlinessLocation

Been there - Done that - Never doing it again !!!I visited New Orleans for this year’s Essence Festival. I choose Chateau Dupree because of it location. Everything I planned to attend, visit and patronize was within walking distance. Check in was fast but that is where the good times stopped. I was assigned room 415. Great StayOverall the hotel was great! 3 adults slept comfortable in a huge king sized bed even though there was a day bed in the other room. The only thing, it had kind of a spooky feeling, but you can tell that the hotel is old. Other than that it was fine. Wireless internet did not work at all but still they made us pay for it.

Never AgainNo staff at front desk, when you arrive they will send someone from one of their other properties, same deal at check out. No coffee in rooms, actually no regular coffee just de-caf. Enjoyed my stayI reserved a room for myself and husband. This is not a bad place especially if you like the HOB. When I travel to New Orleans it is for the party and shopping. I only go the the hotel to sleep and rest. As long as it has a bed and shower it is fine with me. HORRIBLEWe reserved rooms well in advance. However, when we got there they did not have the rooms we reserved. We resorted to rooms with single beds instead of double with only one fold out bed. The service sucked. The smell was gross throughout the whole building. The air condition did not work, and when we called for a fan it was not brought to us. Very disappointed.
