They booked me for the wrong room type and at the wrong price I was guaranteed. When tryin to get it switched to the correct room, they would not honor their price I was quoted only 4 hours before! Not a "5 Star" hotel it is meant to be. Much better hotels in a place like New York.

Royalty at the Ritz

We had a wonderful summer weekend stay at this gorgeous and understated hotel. The area has a relaxed, neighborhood feel, and is more relaxing than the bustle of midtown. We had a fab view of the Statue of Liberty...The concierge halped us choose a restaurant, and the morning in room breakfast was divine...A great way to enjoy all that NYC has to offer, but stiil relax in the evenings...
This stay was at the end of an Atlantic crossing on the Queen Mary II. THe Hotel flubbed the car service pick-up at the dock, but still tried to bill me for the ride. The room had a huge, ugly stain on the carpet. It took three tries to get it dealt with. This Liberty view room went for a a lot of money but had a cheap, dime-store ...

GREAT "WEEKEND HONEYMOON" SPOT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
What a genuine suprise! We eloped and had only two nights to get away. The Ritz@ Battery Pk. was ideal because although it's in Manhattan, the location is quiet. Everything was perfect!
Our harbourview room overlooked the Hudson River, which was a BREATHTAKING SIGHT! Rms. include a Bose radio w/CDplayer - huge rm. for 2.
Our weekend ...

Escape from reality

The whole idea was to get away from home for a night, be in the city, but not feel like we were in the city. This hotel does that. 1st class the whole way, the view was spectaclular and a walk after dinner made us feel like we were in another place altogether.
loved the service and overall pamper me feeling of our stay. can't wait to come back!!

Totally worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/05
This hotel is great. Though not as centrally located as the Central Park Ritz, its service and amenities and relatively quiet location make it a fantastic find. Also, easier to get reservations and last minute specials. The showers are so great, you will try to squeeze in several a day. Also, the concierge is extremely helpful and tracked down ...

Beautiful setting, overlooking the harbor and Statue of Liberty. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. After a hectic day in the city, this hotel is located in a very serene and quiet location. An outdoor bar overlooks the harbor.

Nice hotel,not crazy about location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/21/05
very nice hotel, friendley staff, very close to statue of liberty but I found it to be quite a ways away from other attractions. We had to use cabs quite often. We walked where we could but you could only walk so much.Cabs we pricy to use all the time.I think next time I would look for something closer to all the other attractions.
