I would not recommend staying here. We went out to find a convenience store and realized we were in a VERY bad area - did not feel safe getting out of car. the hotel is right near the track of railroad. bathroom had a broken mirror. a/c didn't work. the room was great. the pool was great. i would stay somewhere else not near the railroad tracks.

The hotel is in a great location for government business travellers visiting Coast Guard Island. However, the service is poor. When I checked in my room a lamp shade was broken. The front desk was immediately notified. Yet, during my two day stay no one ever came to fix the lamp shade even though I apprised the staff of the problem each day. In addition, my room was not cleaned each day of my stay.

I can't say enough about the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Each person that we came in contact with went out of their way to be helpful, making our stay a great experience.
