Yes, it is pretty. And yes, it is reviewed everywhere but I was disappointed. The staff seems disheartened and uninterested. The rooms were a little shabby and it is very very expensive, compared to a lot of other places in the area. The food was very mediocre. You can do better and save a few pence with a little research.

We stopped at Jakes to eat. Its a beautiful setting and good food. I would love to stay there for a few days. It is a ways from all the main beaches, but a different view of Jamaica (away from tourists). The reason we came this direction was to go to the Pelican Bar.
