friendly comfortable modern

I stayed at the Trans in 2003, and had a pleasant stay there. Staff was very helpful; restaurant was quite good; rooms were small, but very clean; and they had a water treatment system, which made a huge difference -- water did not sting while taking showers, as it did in other Ekat hotels I'd visited. I recommend the Trans highly.

Getting the truth

We liked the cleanliness and location of the hotel. Most of the staff spoke some English. Many of the amenities are western in nature and the food was good.

What we disliked the most was the fact that most of the people we spoke with (at the hotel) wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit them.

We were continually lied to about ...

There is some civil construction works around at present. The place is quite close to the city centre (walking distance)and recommendable. Communication in English no problem at reception.

Looking forward to another visit

Had a 4 day stay in Ekaterinburg and enjoyed the accomodations at the Transhotel. Clean rooms, fine breakfast buffet, internet access in the business conference room, and the front desk staff spoke English and were helpful. There was a nice bar with large screen TV ( international channels ) and very comfortable chairs ! We walked to the town center from the hotel with no problems.
