Lovely ‘old country’ accommodations close to campus, great breakfast, but proprietor has unbelievably bad interpersonal skills to the point to making you feel completely unwelcomed and uncomfortable. If you have any needs that interfere with her and her son’s schedules, watch out. You don’t want to be around when ...

"Vitosha Guest Haus Inn offers lodging to scholars, artists and the “world weary” business traveler..."
Although this might sound appealing, if you do not fit or even appear to fit into their target market you are made very aware of it.

The rooms and service were amazing, every detail was attended to. The furnishing were authentic and understated - no artsy craftsy cuteness, from the thickly quilted bed coverings, working antique phones and heated slate floor, we felt that we had stepped back in time to a Bavarian or German Guest house. Our bed was firm, which was great for us, ...
My accomodations were layer on layer of beauty and sensuality. No detail was overlooked, everything was done with care. The food was excellent, fresh, healthy, served on china and linen. The coffee, european. The proprietor attended to my personal requests+foibles willingly, discreetly, tastefully.Vitosha made my good trip to Ann Arbor extraordinary.

my husband and i were treated like second-class citizens. our room was freezing. the breakfast was cold and i totally agree with the other reviewer about the awful coffee. i also got the impression that the owner treats her employees rather badly as they seemed to kind of fear her. there are better establishments other than this in ann arbor.
The rooms were wonderful except some were too hot and some were too cold. A couple of the bed were very hard. One room had a toilet that would not flush. That was difficult since there were four people in the room.
We had planned this event over two months ago with times that meals were to be served and we also paid for an afternoon tea. ...

Don't stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/06
After making reservation months in advance, arrive to find I am not expected. Given a nice room anyway but in the middle of the night a note is slipped under the door saying that due to the owner's 'not recalling' having taken a credit card number in confirmation, I would have to leave by noon. I was offered a room without a bath or ...
I recently stayed at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast, and it was amazing. I read some of the other reviews giving it only 1 star, so I felt I should say something good. I didn't deal with the owner, but the man who showed us to our room was very friendly and made every attempt to make us feel comfortable. Our room was beautiful; antique ...

Never Again

The premises were very clean and tastefully furnished but the owner made us feel like we were hassling her and was generally difficult to interact with. When my husband and I requested a room with a bathtub she told us that under no circumstances were we to use the bathtub "as a playground." We found this highly offensive as we are both ...

I have never felt so uncomfortable and loathed at a B & B before: My father and I woke up early and came down for breakfast. The staff, (the only friendly individuals on site), welcomed us in to the dinning area and brought us coffee. While enjoying our toast the owner came in, and questioned, "Who are you?" We told her and she still ...
