The hotel is, and looks, quite old, with torn and stained carpeting, very cheap room furniture, and one of the smallest bathrooms you could find at this class.
Location is good, lobby is certainly nice, and the staff is generally willing to help. On this stay, it was quite loud in the hallway, but I doubt that is a regular issue.
It's a pretty nice hotel, but not the most luxurious that you'll find in Beijing. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk away from the shopping centers on Wangfujing. We had a nice room that looked out over Forbidden City (which had an especially nice view at night). Service was just okay. I found the desk girls a bit cold and unfriendly.
