Don't go there during pheasant or deer hunting seaason until you want to get woken up at 3 am in the morning by hunters that are just checking in. They were loud, played the tv until 5 o'clock and I couldn't go back to sleep. Next time I will go to the Ramada where it's more quiet at 3 am.
We stopped at the Fairfield Inn at Hays on a hot summer day. A car-ful of cranky kids made us stop short of our eastbound KC goal for the day. Our deskclerk was very friendly and gave us a great room. We let the kids swim and did not want to go back into the heat, even though there were several good restaurants right next door. The deskclerk ...

Cannot Believe My Eyes
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/25/08
While eating my breakfast, I saw the manager went to tell a lady to leave so other guests could sit down. The lady was not even half done with her food but had to leave. Same thing happened to another gentleman a few minutes later.

With all of the other choices in the Hays area we would sleep in our car before staying here again. The issue was not with the facilities but with the unprofessional attitude of the manager when dealing with a billing issue. Take 30 seconds and drive to one of the other lodging choices in Hays and say yourself the frustration of dealing with this staff.

A great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/03/06
The Fairfield in Hays is a great place, they had just remodeled the whole building and everything was very nice and lovely. I would refer this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Hays area. The price was a litte high, but after checking around it was about average for the area. Unless of course you would want to stay at a lower-level motel. Overall a great experience and I am looking forward to staying again!

Guaranteed Reservation means nothing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/05
Hays, KS is approx half way between Denver and Kansas City on I-70. Having stayed at this property before, it adequately represents and feels like other Fairfield Inns.
Due to their affiliation with Marriott Hotels, Fairfield Inns (at least this one) has a policy that is deeply disturbing.
We had made a guaranteed reservation two weeks prior ...
