Although this hotel is Frommers recommended the price and other reviews worried me. We stayed from 3/11-15/08. Was clean. Room was much larger than expected. Hall noise etc within reason. Price is really hard to beat. Great Food, subway, park all very close.

I can't tell you enough not to stay here. The first room they gave us was right over an extremely loud exhaust fan from the 24 hour restaurant next door. Could not get any sleep. I did extensive research before taking my trip to New York. I was a little skeptical with this place because the prices were so cheap, but I was not let down. The staff that work the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. The beds were comfy, the size of the room was great, and it was very clean. I would and probably will stay here when I plan my second trip.

PS: The location is perfect and very quiet!

The only reason I gave this place one star is because there was plenty of hot water and the beds were good -- except for the stained, soiled pillows.

It took two days to get the refrigerator and it had a long black hair in the ice cube tray. There was only one very, very small piece of furniture to store clothing -- almost an end table -- and ...

Central location, low price and overall the place was clean and safe. Seperate bathroom was only shared with 2 other rooms so not a bad option for a couple on the go!
