Booked a quad room here back in April for 4 nights 13th-16th Oct, in July realised I wanted to stay on the 12th aswell as I had got concert tickets for Madonna in Madison sq gardens. Rang the hotel to book and was told there was no availability so cancelled the room, when I asked to receive confirmation number of the cancellation I was told it was ...
We wanted a little Thanksgiving weekend getaway in NYC with our three children, having purchased tickets to see a special exhibit at the Museum of Natural History, as well as a Rockettes matinee the next day. Hotel Belleclaire was the perfect fit for us! Our kids had a great time, and felt very grown-up in the hotel's European atmosphere. Its ...
I stayed 2 nights at the Belleclaire in early November 2007. After I finished guffawing at the look of the room (who took pictures of what hotel rooms, I don't know) I settled in and was quite happy. Drab, plain room...size okay. The shared bathroom was always available and immaculate. No maid service while I was there, but the front desk was ...
Although this hotel is Frommers recommended the price and other reviews worried me. We stayed from 3/11-15/08. Was clean. Room was much larger than expected. Hall noise etc within reason. Price is really hard to beat. Great Food, subway, park all very close.
I stayed here for 5 nights over new years 06-07. The price was great! Couldn't get anything near that price. The location is good. I would have hated to be right on top of Times Square. There were so many people there that week, being down there at all made me claustrophobic. The Belleclaire is just a two minute walk to a subway entrance. You ...
I can't tell you enough not to stay here. The first room they gave us was right over an extremely loud exhaust fan from the 24 hour restaurant next door. Could not get any sleep. I asked for another room and it was just as loud. I asked for yet another room, it was about 1/2 as loud. I realized they didn't have any quiet rooms and slept ...
I did extensive research before taking my trip to New York. I was a little skeptical with this place because the prices were so cheap, but I was not let down. The staff that work the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. The beds were comfy, the size of the room was great, and it was very clean. I would and probably will stay here when I plan my second trip.
The only reason I gave this place one star is because there was plenty of hot water and the beds were good -- except for the stained, soiled pillows.
It took two days to get the refrigerator and it had a long black hair in the ice cube tray. There was only one very, very small piece of furniture to store clothing -- almost an end table -- and ...
Central location, low price and overall the place was clean and safe. Seperate bathroom was only shared with 2 other rooms so not a bad option for a couple on the go!
Having made NYC a place to go every year we always stay in a different hotel just to get a feeling for each area of the city. We really liked Hotel Belleclaire, the cleanliness, the location, the atmosphere, the hotel was very fun. My family requires 2 rooms and in order to get each room with a view we had to stay on 2 separate ...
