Wedding nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/06
Unfortunately I did have my wedding here and that was a $40,000 mistake. The wedding coordinator is a joke who never wrote anything down. Information given was fuzzy from the start. Service during the reception was horrible, management was and is unreceptive. It's a shame because I really loved the ambience and furnishings of this hotel, and ...

Horrible Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/06
The Parker Palm Springs is a major disappointment. At first the hotel/resort seems unique and quite posh with various areas to lounge around and indulge, even though it has the feel of a David Lynch movie crossed with a South Beach yard sale. There are multiple pools and a fairly nice spa; the grounds also have some interesting amenities such as ...
I love the Parker and have stayed here several times. The breakfast on the patio is divine, as are the nights lounging in this desert oasis, where beautiful people sip cocktails around fire pits under towering palm trees simply discussing the meaning of life and where they will shop/eat/play the next day. In addition, the spa services are amazing ...
If you yearn for a homey place, a place that seems like a private retreat, an elite ‘estate-like property” that feels more like your ‘great aunt’s’ where you are an invited guest, then the Parker Palm Springs is your home away from home!
Le Parker Meridien Palm Springs is the new hot spot that sizzles in the desert. With years of history to ...

Fantastic place - service needs improvement
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/05
The hotel has fantastic grounds and rooms and attempts to provide an 'American Country Club' experience but needs to improve its service levels to achieve this. It promises a lot but delivery is patchy with some staff being excellent and others, particularly in Norma's restaurant and the pool service, seeming to lack knowledge of the ...

Great place, bad service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/05
The good: scenery and grounds are beautiful, rooms are nice, good location in proximity to downtown Palm Springs
The bad: horrible service. The mandatory valet lost the keys to our car. The hotel offered to get us a cab (in 100 degree heat) to take us to our dinner reservations. We told them no thanks, find our keys. The hotel manager ...

Hesitant to make the reservation but...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/05
A bit hesitant to make the decision about this place coming from cloudy and rainy England but we gave in anyway. After making the reservation online, I wasn't satisfied I need to talk to a real person from the hotel. A girl named Ashley answered the phone with manners I think is quite inapropriate and uprofessional. First, the girl was laughing ...
Beautiful resort layout and design. Eclectic and funky decor that is not over done. Great potent drinks are on hand from the lobby side bar or from the pool side cabana.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Although I'm not a big fan of enforced mandatory valet parking.
