The staff at The Savoy were really nice. George and Victor were excellent. The hotel room needs much update. The dressers and furniture is old and the carpet in the hallways is a little worn and the hallways smelled. The room was clean and neat just needs some much rather updating. The pull-out sofa bed is horrible. It's not a real mattress so ...

Not worth it

From the minute I checked in I thought I made a mistake. The Savoy is located about 8 to 10 blocks from the high end places at the south part of Ocean Drive. The place was very slow on Thursday morning and just 4 people at the pool. On the beach there were a few more people but not normal for a 80 degree sunny day. The beach staff was rude and no ...

We will be back...again and again.

What a great gateway to Ocean Drive's best night life. The Savoy is the only Art Deco property right on the sands of the beach. There was nothing between us and heaven. We occupied an ocean front two bedroom suite, the whole family, grand kids and all. Had the best time of all in Miami Beach.

Pretty nice

We stayed in October 2005 and it was pretty nice. Good location & nice rooms. Good access to the beach. He would just come over and ask us everyday ...
A quieter place on Ocean Drive. Nice rooms, pool and grounds and you can even sneak in the occasional free parking space in the neighborhood. OK for families.
Overall, I liked this hotel. Location is excellent, right on the ocean. The hall is old and could be much better. Rooms are clean and has a small kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave. Make sure you bring your own cookware. The pool is excellent. Breakfast is OK.
I would recommend this hotel if you find a deal for a about $100 a night. Don't pay more than that.
