We just returned from a lovely stay at the Govenors House. It is a beautiful B&B (great decorations but not twee), convenient to downtown yet very peaceful. The small details were wonderful as well--the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, bikes for loan, comfortable bed, Frette robes, the free beverages in the rooms, the DVD collection, the afternoon wine and cheese. The hosts were attentive yet respectful of privacy.

Wonderful experience at the Governor's House

I loved everything about my stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and unique. The beds are like clouds, and every amenity possible was thought of. There are DVD players and stocked refrigerators in each room, beautiful private baths, and my room had a big comfy leather couch to read on. There is free internet access in the library with a ...

The most elegant small hotel in the NH seacoast area. As a transplanted native, who returns whenever possible, I am captivated by the charm, attention-to-detail and service.
