I stayed at the Battleground Inn for 2 nights. The television did not work, which management knew about, but since it was a weekend they could not fix it. The bed was very uncomfortable. No microwave, no frig, no frills. Would not stay there again for the price (79.00)

Battle to get to sleep
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/09
The Air conditioning was full of mold and was so loud that it sounded like an airplane was taking off in our room every 20 minutes. We finally had to turn it off in hopes of getting any sleep. The bathroom was FAR from clean. We needed a cot for our third child and we had to move a significant amount of furniture to fit it in the room despite ...
You can't beat the location of this hotel. However, you had better request a fridge when you make your reservation because only two of the rooms with two beds have a refrigerator in the entire hotel! All single occupancy rooms come sans refrigerator. Also, there is no pool at the hotel.

Never had a problem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/07
My husband and I have stayed here now 3 times and have never really had a problem. The only time was last Christmas there seemed to be a shortage of parking and the front desk girl was extremely rude. The rooms are very clean and it's very convenient to everything that we need to do while we are visiting the area. I just made our reservations for this year during the holidays.

Very Slack Phone Service

I made 2 calls to this motel on 8/7/2006. The first time, the phone rang many, many times. Finally someone picked up, but laid the phone down, not saying "hold on" or anything. I could hear a girl takling in the background and even after me hollaring "hello" several times, no one would come to the phone. The background got quiet ...

Great Place

I just booked my room at the Battleground Inn and this will be my fourth visit. I have always had an above average experience and stay with them frequently due to the proximity to the University of North Carolina campus where my daughter is a student.
