Not that clean. Ants in the room. The bathroom has no place to plug in a hair dryer or curling iron, It has to be pluged in in the room and then the lighting is so bad you cannot see what you are doing. Toilet was cracked. Rust on wall below sink were water runs out. Sink did not hold water. No one suggested you should have skin so soft for ...
The room smelled like mold, we saw roaches in the room. The room was dirty. Very poor house keeping. The beach was nice but the water was to dirty to swim in. It was quite. The staff seemed very inexperienced. Hotel is old and dated. You can get a better rate by walking in, don't make a reservation. Would not go back.
Just stayed for Memorial Day weekend and had no issues with the room. Ask for Room 310 I guess. For those who really want to nit pick, the balcony door was binding a little, the trim ring where the shower head pipe comes out of the wall was loose (I pushed it back up, it stayed), and the comforter on the beds seemed a little dated (clean, just ...
The room had a rockin" fridge, roach infest bathroom, ruff thin sheets, my coffee cup hadn't been washed in months. The rates were off the wall for "off-season" the only two great things were I had a great view (but had to pay the $$$$ and my dog was able to come with me. I went across the street and checked the other hotel out ...

The Oceanside Inn view is the best on the island and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The suites are layed out nicely and clean when we arrive. It is definitly not a 5 star resort, but it is comfortable and a good value for us. We love to be able to take our dog with us when we travel. The Sutherlands

Will definitely come again!

We loved it! We live in Savannah, and come to Jekyll Island for the day, quite often. We decided to spend the night so we could spend 2 days on the beach. We have a Golden Retriever who loves the beach. The hotel is pet friendly, had reasonable rates, and had a great ocean view. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The grounds are well-kept and the pool is beautiful. We can't wait to come back!
easy access to the beach, great view of ocean , very nice beach, bikeing trails was great. roach infested room, over all cleaniness was poor, phone never worked, windows very dirty, need to put the hair dryer on the wall very clumsy hook up for the hair dryer. the staff at the front desk was very nice , but all but the little geek needs a make over on being nice to the customers.
From the pictures and the reviews we had expected a nice place without anything special but at least clean, newly renovated (which they advertise like crazy) and comfortable. Boy were we fooled! It reminded me of a hotel I stayed in when I was doing Mexico for $5 a day in the "80s! The bathroom floor was dirty as was the bathtub. The shower ...
I recently visited the Oceanside Inn and Suites at Jekyll Island. I had a great view of the ocean and the complex seemed quite, that is about all for the positive side. The room seemed clean but once i went to the rest room I had to clean the toilet bowl myself with Lysol as it seemed the person before me had diarryhia. Also the sheets and the ...

Terrible Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/08
First of all the beach on Jekyll is beautiful. This hotel is awful. Would not recommend. We read reviews prior to going and gave it the benefit of the doubt. Should have paid more attention to the reviews. Our room when we arrived had bugs it. The towels and the sheets were old & yellowed and didn't look clean. We went to the front desk to ...
