One of the worst customer service, specifically from their accounting team. They made a mistake on charging my credit card for an extra room, no voice mail has been returned yet and in few occasions when I talked to someone they did not have the authority to do anything and this simple issue after 40 days still has not been resolved.

Location not great, just off the freeway. Decor not my favorite but having stayed at The Grande Colonial the night before, I was probably feeling spoiled.
Got to check in early which was great. The room was ok - a bit dark. We had our own patio with a table & 2 chairs. Kinda felt like an apartment complex.
If you are a fan of the Horses, then this is the hotel to stay at when the ponies are in town. The hotel is right across the street from the Racetrack, and on the 7 furlong races, on TVG, you can see the hotel in the background (look for the tan roof).
The hotel is pricey during the race season (200/night) but several of the owners & some ...

This hotel is an exemplary Hilton: great restaurant, beautiful rooms, excellent service and location. I would recommend it most definitely. The views of the Del Mar valley surrounding it are second to none and its proximity to the Racetrack enable easy access to horse racing and the fair or any other event held there. Great rooms, staff, and value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/06
I brought my family of four here this past weekend. The room was clean, and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly. The pool is nice. The beach is only 1/2 mile away. Great restaurants nearby. I would bring my family here again. It was a great getaway. No problem getting downtown for the Padres' game. Hint: rooms list at $189 a night. I got the room for $80 a night on priceline. It's a good deal.
i travel all over the country for buisness.so for a break i took my family on a weekend trip to san diego and booked the del mar hilton..it was a little ways from downtown ,but it was in a beautiful location a few miles from the beach awsome restaurants in and around the hotel and great value..the best part of this hotel was the staff,i have stayed ...

I got a great deal on priceline. Found the staff to be very personable. Food was fine. Slept great-very quiet room.
I would stay here again. Although this property is not in the old town part of del mar nor does it have an ocean view, it is only a 1/2-1 mile away and it has a free shuttle, I believe. It is across the street from the track if you're there for the horses or the fair. There are some great restaurants across the street, excellent sea food! ...
