We loved this hotel! The grounds were beautiful, the pools were wonderful the restaurants were great. And the lagoon was a hit with my 3 teenage boys. Everywhere we turned there were very nice helpful staff always with a smile.
We would definatelly go back!

If you're looking for a laid back,peaceful vacation try someplace smaller. Many rooms are a 15 minute walk (or a 10 minute wait for the tram) from the pools and beaches. I had to wait in long lines for many simple services like the coffee bar. It was absolutely beautiful, just not wuite what I was looking for. This looked like a great place to bring the kids, but for grown up R and R it was a bit much for me.

I played golf while my wife had a day at the spa and we met up at the pool later that afternoon for a few drinks and then off to dinner in one of the fine restaurants on site at Waikoloa Village. My wife was like a giddy little kid when she got to participate in the Dolphin experience. The staff here was very helpful in setting up our entire itinerary for the week, which included,horseback riding,snorkeling,helicopter ride and a very nice luau.

Overall, I had an amazing experience at this resort. There is so much to look at and so many places to relax. There wasn't enough time to experience everything that the island and resort had to offer.

Overpriced especially when a couple and one child reserves a room weeks in advance and shows up expecting the main pool area (what they are famous for) to be open but instead find it is in major renovation at this time, no warning, no apologize, no partial refund, poor to deal with. I just became a diamond member with Hilton honors and used points to come here. My wife and I were treated very well from check in to check out and we couldn't be happier. Our luggage came to our room in a very timely manner, the view was amazing, and the resort was breathtaking.

Living in Kona, every Christmas we go up to the Hilton and look at the train set up. We went up today, 12-26-06, and were charged $9.00 to park, valadated by the Valet Parking attendant. IT IS A RIP OFF FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS! I will no longer tell visitors about the Hilton.

This was just an amazing hotel. The little "extras" are overflowing. The main pool has a fun waterslide, waterfall area and mini suspension bridge. You can snorkel in the lagoon and see sea turtles and all sorts of fish. You can swim with the dolphins (for a price, of course :) The restaurants were wonderful.

An overall wonderful experience. I've been twice already, and cannot wait to go back!
