  • Look for another hotel !!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/08
Unless you like walking miles to get to your room, don't stay here. There is a small train and/or boat that you must wait for - hope you're not in a hurry! Also, some transportation NOT air conditioned = HOT!!Restaurants are expensive ($100 a meal) and shops are same ($4.00 for small bottle of water). Valet parking is slow and ...

  • Hated It! Hawaii, the Theme Park
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/08
We stayed here on our honeymoon and got terrible service. On our last night, my husband put some laundry in and when he went to retrieve it the washer was stuck and wouldn't open. No one answered the desk phone until the next morning. We had to stay at the hotel the whole morning to finish the laundry. It was EASTER SUNDAY and we missed church ...

  • We will be back in Dec of 2008
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/08
We were there in December of 2007 I like the weather, everything was green, food is very good I would not change a thing. We can't wait go go back again. There is nothing to dislike about this place for a vacation spot it is the bomb.

    Thanks

  • My favorite place on Earth
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/08
Yes, this really is my all time favorite place on Earth. My world travels are farely extensive but this Hawaiian paradise remains my fave by far. The sprawling resort is gorgeous in itself. Vibrant colors in palm trees, lagoons, the ocean, sand and pools seem too good to be true. The spa, restaurants, staff, activities and everything else are first ...

  • Incredible Views....Average Service
    By RoyHobbs, 10/07/07
The Hilton has fantastic grounds. It is enormous and very well kept all around. There are 4 main restaurants. We ate at 3 of them. Donatoni's is fantastic. Be sure to get a seat on the water. KPC is pretty good. Again, be sure to get a seat on the water. We also ate at a Japanese place (hibachi style). I wish I could get that $190 back as I ...

  • Beautiful resort
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/07
We stayed at the Hilton for 3 nights. The self parking is a long walk with luggage, so if you have luggage, drop the luggage at the front of the hotel along with someone to watch them, and then park the car. Or you can valet park. We requested a room in the Lagoon Tower. We were given a room on the 5th floor overlooking the ocean and dolphin ...

  • Disappointing!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/07
We visited in Sept. '07 for a week. The grounds are fabulous, what is not being renovated. Overpriced food and a "nickel and dime" mentality were the start of a stay that never got any better.

The tram was closed during our stay, so was our boat landing at the Palace Tower. The boats that are the alternative to the tram were slower ...

  • It's a resort. In Hawai`i.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
It's a resort in the grand style, lots of over-the-top art pieces and public areas to roam and lounge. Huge pools and activities. Great if you like that sort of thing. The people are nice and everything is about what you expect. It's a resort. In Hawai`i. It is exactly what you should expect.

They do need to improve their shuttle ...

  • Spectacular property, showing signs of wear, overpriced
    By Russ, 09/04/07
The property that the Hitlon Waikoloa sits on is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the hotel is starting to show significant signs of wear and is loosing some of its shine. Views and location are awesome, dolphin pool not to be missed, and the main pool will be great again when the renovations are complete. Lots of minor construction/repairs ...

  • "OK for a one time visit"
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/07
Read lots of mixed reviews prior to going and was not sure what to expect...this is a very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, spacious rooms (2 adults, 2 grown teenagers). Yes the food can be a bit higher than outside the hotel but not by much...if first time in Hawaii don't expect bargains...thats just part of visiting Hawaii. Some regard the ...
