Smoke-full experience in a smoke free hotel.

Our "smoke-free" room smelled like a tobacco hut and became even worse when we turned on the heater. We booked our room on Expedia for one price and then the hotel proceeded to charge us a higher price. The coffee pot in the hotel room did not work, the parts did not even fit together. The Heartland staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The free breakfast is wonderful and they even have a nighttime snack of popcorn, cakes, and cookies! The rooms were very clean and the maids came everyday to clean our room, not just drop off towels. We will stay here everytime we go to Waterloo.

It's like home

The dinner was a great surprise, staff was super, room was clean and furniture was nice. One thing--the pillows could have been better. Ours were rather flat. We love staying with you. Thanks making our stay comfortable and we'll be back.

You get what you pay for

I had a nice clean room, breakfast really wasn't anything to speak of but ok for free. I had a number of friends who also stayed there when I did and didn't have good experiences however so it tainted my experience a bit. Based on what I saw them experience, I would not recommend this hotel unless you just want a very cheap place to stay and have very little expectations.
