It is very well located in relation to the train station and the old town part of the city. There are a lot of good restaurants near by. The breakfast is good and included. The Hotel Adler was very clean, a good value (for Zurich!) and staff was helpful. There was fruit in our room and chocolates on our pillows which were nice perks.The only negative was that one piece of fruit was going bad. The hotel is in a great location. The down side is at night, it is very loud and the noise last until 2:00 - 4:00AM in the morning.
One one day i came back to find out the staff had moved my belongings into a different room then that which was givin me on check in. When i asked about this at the front desk......i was treated as if i should have known and it was no big deal. they were not very polite at all

To keep it brief, everything -- price, staff (service and friendliness), location -- was exactly as I would expect a hotel to offer. Highly recommended.

We were there during the Zurich Feste in July 2004. After a delay of a couple of hours, we arrived very tired in the hotel and although it was very noisy outside, we could enjoy our sleep without any disturbance. Food was good, especially the fondue. Lots of bars and wine-stubes in the neighbourhood. A nice 10 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof.
