The hotel is very nice and in a great location. Service was very good, beds were great, but the breakfast is very very expensive and wasn't very good. Not worth ordering to the room. Overall very nice hotel.

Lovely old hotel.Friendly, attentive staff. The comforter felt like home..very clean, and fluffy. Nice bathroom. Cozy robes. Very clean and comfortable. There was no problem getting a cab on the rainy day I was there. They were on the job! I was pleased with my stay.

Although the service is not what you expect and the breakfast is very expensive, carlton on madison offers very convinient location, and high level of cleanliness.The decoration is also good.

This is a beautiful hotel! the rooms and lobby are very modern and clean. The service is great from the bell boys to the concierage everyone is friendly and makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this hotel to those who are visiting new york city for the very first time because the staff will help you get around the city. Two thumbs up for the carlton on madisson ave!!!

It was such a surprise to have a room that was large enough that we didn't have to step over each other to get to the bathroom and that actually had 2 chairs.

My husband was happy to have a bathroom with a large counter that would hold all of our toiletries.

Just having been redone, everything is crisp and clean.

The Carlton Hotel on Madison Avenue was an amazing stay. We stayed while it was under renovation, and it was still beautiful and highly accomodating. They will switch your rooms around, if need be, as we found out.
