We arrived at the hotel and stood in line for 20 minutes just to find out that the computers were down. An hour and a half later, we finally got into our room and it didn't get any better there. The room is tiny. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. No free high speed internet.
Sure, the location was great but everything else was poor. We checked in early afternoon January 11 and upon entering our room later that night, saw that the bed was unmade and the towels in the bathroom were dirty. So, we called the front desk and they immediately sent someone up with keys to a new room. I was impressed with how quickly they ...

We chose the Millenium for a final family get together before our son leaves for Iraq. It has a great location in downtown St.Louis if the weather is good enough to walk but in inclimate weather you have to walk across the street to where your car is parked at $16.00/day, in addition to your room charge, even though they have a multitude of ...

Staff Seems to Suffer from Star Envy

In this day and age it amazes me that a so-called luxury hotel would not have any broadband Internet available in guest rooms, no wired, no wireless. Also, they charge over a dollar for each twenty-minute local call* and ANY long distance call at any time is charged the going rate for a Daytime OPERATOR ASSISTED call… Hello, what century are we in ...
We have stayed at the Millenium twice and won't return. The last time, it was incredibly crowded and getting checked in/out took forever. There isn't enough parking allocated to the hotel (and it's plenty extra as is) so I wound up driving around and around the garage for a spot. The elevators are slow and crowded - often it was ...

A pleasant stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/06
I recently attended a conference in St. Louis with reservations made at the Millennium. Having seen some negative reviews prior to my trip, I was nervous about what I would find when I got there, especially as a 60-something woman traveling alone. I was pleasantly surprised! I had no problem with my check in, my room was clean, the bed fresh and ...

Awful and staff rude
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/06
This was a bad experience from the time we walked through the door. The line was long for check-in and only two desk clerks to service a line of 20 people. Rooms weren't ready, and many waiting in the lobby for their rooms, it was 5 in the evening! Only had one room ready, and it was small, bed not made, musty odor masked with ...

Hotel was fine for our purposes, being downtown for a Cards game. If you stay, I strongly recommend the North Tower (the taller tower). The South Tower was more economical, but the rooms were no different than a budget hotel would be. The extra 20% or so it would have cost to move to the North Tower would have been quite worth it.
I must first tell you that my husband "pricelined" our stay and got our room for a meager $60 a night (Sat and Sun). Believe me- I expected a slum and brought Clorox wipes along, and definately planned on the dreaded south tower. When I walked in to our NORTH tower room that had very cool, modern furnishings I was so surprised. Bed was ...
