Very Dirty, linens smell like cigarettesSpent the weekend at Tropical Breeze, looked pretty online but not what we thought when we got there. Very dirty, dusty and dead bugs everywhere. What were to be clean towels in the bathroom smelled like they came from a bar dredged with cigarette smoke as we dried ourselves off after the shower. BEST STAFF EVER!I just had to get on here and tell you about the staff at the Tropical Breeze...they were the best! They were so friendly, happy, and energetic! Overall, we thought the resort was great - clean rooms, excellent location, great atmosphere! Plus, after some research, the rooms are very reasonably priced for their location to the beach and to the Village. We've already booked our stay for next year!Was this review helpful? I don't know what these negative reviews are all about!?!I am shocked at the reviews listed on this website because I found the Tropical Breeze to be exactly the opposite of a horrible place to stay; it was fantastic! We were in a beautiful and CLEAN, brand-new room just minutes from both the ocean, a pool, and the Village. Don't Do itThis "Resort and Spa" was the worst vacation of my life. The two bedroom one bathroom condo means the one bathroom is in the master bedroom so who ever sleeps in the second bedroom (which is very very small) must go throught the master bedroom to use the bathroom. Unfortunate ExperienceI was so looking forward to my 5 day stay at the Tropical Breeze Resort in Siesta Key. What's everybody's problemAfter reading the reviews, I went prepared to clean our room. I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the room. While it's not the Ritz, the linens were not stained and there was no mold in the bathroom. The air conditioner and the ceiling fan were both working. What Resort?This is not a resort. Room was old dirty and small. We had a 2bedroom. Bedroom door was a closet door with no handle. Pillows had stains on them. My husbands feet never got wet in the shower. When we opened oven door, there was a cookie sheet still in it with leftover chocolate cookies still baked on. DON'T STAY THERE! please read...Seeing the room for the first couple of minutes was a shock! The room is too small. The furniture is too old. Bed sheets, comforter and towels looked very old. The room smelled bad and the bathroom smelled urine. The bathroom door did not close and was equipped with a rusted latch lock from inside to protect some of your privacy. Great locationOk...we stayed in unit 124. It has 2 bedrooms and one tiny bathroom..it has 3 twin beds, a full bed and a pull out couch. Will Never Go Back!!!!Not at all like the internet pictures & site map. Didn't get guaranteed room. no water for 6 hours one day. Room unclean. pool 96 degrees & its 100 degrees outside. Pool not cleaned for days-had busted condoms in bottom of pool from a wedding reception in there for 3 days. Front desk not happy, friendly or helpful at all.
