Over the April 25 weekend, we stayed at the Cambria Pines Lodge in the newer rooms away from the main hotel. It is a wonderful place to stay; in fact we're going back in November. The rooms are really nice, clean and spacious, and there is a fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast is included and is very good (good coffee!) The garden-like grounds are very peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend the Cambria Pines Lodge.

Stayed in the suites that accommodates up to 6. Rooms where very clean, internet in room was fast - up to 4.0 megs. 2 tv's and 2 fireplaces in theses suites. Breakfast buffet included eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and sausages. Beds comfy. Rooms had small fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Short pleasant walk into west village. ...

I have stayed there twice and each was different. Both were in the older buildings, but still clean and nice. They included breakfast and I love the gardens and the pine trees all around. Not so good on wireless connections. Had to take my computer to the lodge to get a signal.
I loved this place. Took my 85 year old mother here for her birthday. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I had the room for $69.00 a nite s-th special. Breakfast included in that. They also have a $40.00 dining special which is dinner for 2, and a bottle of good wine from Cambria area winery. All in all a great place to stay. Great walking around property and safe at night.
We like the gardens, clean comfortable rooms, breakfast, nightly entertainment in the lounge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Not much to dislike... well, maybe the fog lasting till late morning.... It was inconvienent not having a good cell phone range but that's in most of Cambria.

Not Accomodating
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/07
Between my guests and I we spent about $20,000 dollars here (wedding) and were treated very poorly. We made simple requests, more coffee, hair dryer, early check-in and late check-out for the bride, and were automatically told no by all of the staff. We basically had to fight for everything. This is not a cheap hotel and I would have expected more accomodating service.

Staff unhelpful in emergency situation.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/07
This would be a positive review EXCEPT that the staff was so rude when we had a very scary family emergency. The response was - I'm "too busy" when we ask if they could "keep an eye out" for a member of our party. We were clearly in distress and I couldn't get the receptionist to listen to my concerns for more than 5 ...
I fell in love with the beauty & quiteness of the place. The rooms are very nice sized, the beds are comfortable. Having a fireplace in the bedroom is very romantic also!! Walking in the gardens is very relaxing & informitive.
