Hated it

I was charged a total of $400 for two nights for a basic room with a saggy King size bed, a 19" fuzzy TV, and no air conditioning (it was over 90 degrees outside). Everything looked like it had not been improved upon since the early '80s. Totally not worth the price.
The gardens are a beautiful sight, our room view couldn't be nicer, their complimentary breakfast was good, however, I did not like that any normal noise, such as walking, laughing with my grandaughter and my son, or my grandaughter falling off the bed once, would cause the front desk to call us and tell us that other customers were complaining ...

Terrible Customer Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/09
The grounds are lovely, but customer service is terrible. Check-in person was extremely rude. Not even greeted by this person or the other person that would pop out from the office. You can hear everything, your neighbor does. Pass on this place, we have stayed at other places along Moonstone drive and all those experiences have been wonderful. We will never return to this place.
We stay in Cambria several times every year. Usually we stay on Moonstone Beach at Blue Dolphin Inn, Sand Peebles, Fog Catcher, or, when we're looking for something less costly, at the Creekside Inn.
However, in July 2009, we decided to give Cambria Pines Lodge a try because it was one of the few places we had never stayed in the years ...
We have been to the Cambria Pines Lodge a few times. The best rooms to stay in are the cabins by the pool since they don't have any upstairs neighbors and appear to be the most insulated. If a cabin isn't available, don't bother staying there unless you like to hear every move & sound your neighbor makes. The walls in the ...
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Cambria Pines Lodge. We enjoyed the Christmas Decorations all around the garden area. Our accomations were great. The complentory breakfast was good, but not that great. The tolet had a small leak under the tile or somewhere from the tank. We passed on our findings to management.
I can't say enough how much I love the Pines Lodge. It's this great place nestled above the little town of Cambria. It's got these great grounds where you can wander around, an organic garden, path to town or the nursery, pool, dog trail, etc.
The rooms are great and the service is as well. This time we stayed in the new superior ...
9/24/2008 Just got back from a 2 day stay there. I was very upset when we checked out and found out we were not getting 50.00 off our bill for one of the specials. Had I understood the special better I would have just taken the Internet Special and saved more money. The desk clerk was not interested in talking about the problem at all. I sent an ...
