We took the train from Oregon with just our cross country skiis for transportation. Staying in the Orange caboose allowed for cooking, privacy and ski trails were right outside the door. The lighted trail was magical and the river loop to the Middle Fork of the Flathead River was visited daily. The 30 freight trains steaming by every day were the only reminder of civilization.
