Our experience at the restaurant and inn were mediocre, but being ignored by the staff regarding a followup quality/billing complaint is inexcusable. They did not return phone calls, and when I did catch them in they did not follow through as they said they would. A big disappointment.
The Baricelli Inn is in a Prime location to visit the Museums in Cleveland. The Bed and Breakfast style set up is ideal for those who already know Cleveland and all the wonderful sites it has to offer. The Staff is extremely helpful and accomidating and the rooms are lovely.
The experience started off well and went down hill fast. They were greeted (2 couples) and shown to their respective rooms. A king room had been reserved but was they were given a queen. The other couple got the King sized bed! Breakfast turned out to be a disappointment, they were offered scones or quiche then after having eaten were told that ...
We arrived in our room which smelled and the plumbing was being worked on. Also, we didn't sleep all night because of the plumbing noises. We had a 19" TV. We would have rather have spent our money at a Holiday Inn Express which would have had cleaner and quieter accommendations.
We have eaten at Baricelli Inn 4 times, each time thinking we'd give them another chance. But, to no avail. Baricelli's has to be the most overated restaurant in the city. Poor service and average dishes.
First time for us. Very courteous staff from the valet service, the servers, coat check; a nice variety of dishes, delicious food, lovely ambiance, perfect service. An overall delightful experience.
My wife and I ate our New Year's Eve dinner at the Baricelli Inn. The food was good, and the service was splendid, but the ambiance was awful. We were crammed into a tiny room with another table for 2, a table for 6, and two tables for four. We could hear every conversation from every other table in the room. My chair and the chair of ...
The Baricelli is wonderful! I used to live in Little Italy, and when I return to the Cleveland area, I try to stay at the Baricelli. It's small & intimate, and close to all the great restaurants, University Circle, and Coventry. The rooms are lovely--very cozy and inviting with big comfy beds. Heck, they managed to even make breakfast romantic! I just can't recommend this place enough!
