I have stayed 3 days and nights at the Travellers Hotel. It was a wonderful and exciting place to stay. Very comfortable. It has recently been purchased by a gentleman that has refurnised all the rooms into various themes. Very well done. The comp breakfast that we had each day was great along with free happy hour.
What you really will remember is , the charm of each room. With any hotel room its just a room, here its goin to another time and place . How about wanting to visit another country ? Or how about going back to a happy place ? Remember your old grandmothers sewing room ? How about bein with grandpa down on the farm ? Its all here at Travelers ...
This was a pleasant surprise. I was attending a conference in Kirksville with some colleagues. Each of us had our own room, and each was totally unique -- from a California style mission, to a 1920s Jazz room, to a room with a world map on the ceiling. Tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable.
I had no idea what the cost of the room ...
