I have stayed at much more expensive hotels and the staff and I really enjoyed the friendliness and knowledge of the front desk clerk. She remembered something I said when I checked in upon checking out. The room was very nice and clean. I fell right off to sleep in the comfy bed and was not disturbed. It is a great place to stay.
Secured the room for a late check-in with a credit card. We arrived at 1:30AM to be told we did not have a reservation. We spent 20 minutes getting that straightened out with a very rude desk person. After we got to the room, the AC did not work. I called the front desk to ask for repairs to be made or a new room, they told me to call back in 10 ...
It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful either. I'm glad I was only there for one night. It looks like they've started renovating some rooms, which this somewhat worn hotel needs.
the location and price are always a plus, and the rooms are very well kept for being an older hotel. i have chatted with the staff several times, and they are excited about being redesigned and remodeled in early 2007. i have paid more than $100 a night for hotels that can't compare to this economical place...overall, i am completely satisfied with the establishment!
The carpet in my room turned my white socks dark brown, and was sticky by the bathroom sink. When I mentioned this to the office staff, they indicated that it was because of the winter snow, and that the carpets were being cleaned in a few weeks. When I responded that this didn't help me much, the woman just shrugged.
So if you really just want a roof over your head for the cheapest price, this might be your hotel.
