Liked - The chairs on the porch, kitchenette, cleanliness. Disliked - Not much to say - Not for the person looking for a fancy hotel.
The owner was very nice. Great price. Great scenery and very peaceful. My husband and I loved to sit outside in the chairs provided in the evening. We loved the kitchenette so we could save out leftovers from ...
Recently made a return trip to what I now call the “Un” Happy Hollow. My wife and I took advantage of their pet friendly policy in 2007. While it was not perfect then we still enjoyed the place. For the low price it was fine… rustic, off the beaten path, etc. We also at that time found the younger female owner (or ...
Happy Hollow was pleasant to stay at. It was a homey little place and the service was so friendly. It is not the fanciest hotel, but it is comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for walking and getting to Bath House Row. The owner was a nice lady who offered advice on waht to do and where to eat.
I loved staying here so much that I have come back every year for the past 3 years and plan to stay here again this year 08. Yes, the hotel is an older hotel but that's what adds to the character of the place. It's within walking distance to Central Ave., but far enough away that the noise is not a bother. The rooms are clean and many ...

Happy at Happy Hollow
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
We started out at the Park Hotel the first night in Hot Springs. It was dirty, noisy and no heat. We went next door to the Happy Hollow and rented two rooms for half the price of the of the park and it was clean and had everything you need, microwaves, frig, heaters, clean bathrooms, very clean. Yes, it is old, but down town Hot Springs is Old.
I Love everything about this place. One of my favorite hotels in the world! Right in the nestled bossoms of the mountain with good hiking trails right there. Plus a few blocks walk to the historic downtown. Quiet, clean, and friendly.

A Quiet Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/07
For a one night stay, we didn't need anything fancy, so we went for low rates and cleanliness. This place had the most decent reviews for our requirements. I called and made reservations one day before our stay, so availability was great for its location.
We were pleased that this place was right in the downtown area of Hot Springs, yet off ...

Like Something from the 60's

This motel is really old but it was clean. The location was nice. The furniture was quite old and some was broken down. The beds were on rollers which was weird. You really get what you pay for but we really just slept there which was fine. Would not go back as there was no pool and really any simple amenities expected by consumers these days.
