We stayed on the 6th floor. It was freshly renovated and very clean. The units are individually owned so not all will be in the same condition. We've been staying here for about 10 years now. It is getting a bit older, but we've always been happy here. It's in a great location, very quiet, and not busy at all. Their outdoor pool is great. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants.

We'll be back again and again!

This place rocks! It was everything it advertised! The room was spacious and clean. The view from our balcony was awesome. As a first time guest the stay was well worth the drive from PA. Everyone from housekeeping to front desk was extremely helpful and polite! We've been home a week now and we still can't wipe the smiles from our faces! ...

Great Resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/09
We enjoyed everything it had to offer, all 10 of us. Will return.
I liked the location. Quiet end of the beach, meaning "Not Crowded." The rates can't be beat for the amount of room you get. Do not be mislead by angled oceanfront rooms. They were nice but it was like having a side view. An attached building is in front of yours. It is an older resort so the rooms are dated but for the price it ...

We love North Myrtle Beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/08
This was our first time at Myrtle Beach. My daughter and I can not wait till we get to go back. The Carolina Winds was a great place to stay. It was quiet and we could let the girls go down to the beach by theirselves. We will be going back, but not soon enough. We have been to Florida several times and now we will only go to the Carolinas. I ...
We just returned from a week at the Carolina Winds and had an absolutely fabulous time. We had five rooms booked for a family reunion and all had been updated some since our last visit 8 yrs ago. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accomodating and our rooms were kept very clean.
We choose Carolina Winds for several reasons, it ...

It was a perfect vacation!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/21/08
The accomadations were perfect for my family of five. Its hard to find a nice room to accomodate that many people for a reasonable price. We had an awesome oceanfront balcony. We were within minutes of everything my family wanted to do.

MISLEADING WEBSITE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/08
My wife and kids and I stayed at this hotel recently, and we found the website to be very misleading! The Amenities were OK.. The Room was not clean, the room was NOT Ocean Front which is what we were under the impression we were getting, the BEDS WERE HORRIBLE as well as the Parking! There is not enough parking and no parking deck! The Hotel ...
If you are looking for a peaceful, enjoyable vacation in Myrtle Beach, do not choose the Carolina Winds. The rooms are an absolute disgrace (we found bugs and crumbs in multiple places in our room), there is loud, continual construction taking place, and the staff is far from friendly. We were even asked to leave our room a night early because they ...

ugh!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/08
Beware of hotels that insist you pay upon arrival. Yes, that is the policy at Carolina Winds. We were given room 910. Before we even opened the door we realized that we were not in an ideal location overlooking the construction site of the hotel next door. Keeping in mind that we were, after all, taking advantage of their Spring Special we were ...
