ElegantI stayed here compliments of the gospital i was applying. It's pretty impressive. I love the bathroom, it's spacious and elegant. It is clean and the bed is comfortable. I wish it could have been my own house. It was expensive for a day but gave me a great experience.OVERALL

Timeless Southern Class....We have stayed at the 1842 twice both times we very much enjoyed our stay. And love MsEmma. If you enjoy just a quite classyplace this one is for you. If you like to people watch and look at people who want to be looked at...this place is not for you..If you see bugs take some medication..The 1842 is very clean. Beatiful!!I just had a wonderful experience at the 1842 Inn and I am in complete disagreement with the latest reviews on your website about the property and its location.
My husband and I had great time and the staff was helpful and gracious and before dinner we had a nice walk thru the historic district full of magnificient homes.

stayed in betteri guess for a city limited in the selection of finer quality inns this is the best macon has to offer. stayed there during the cherry blossum festival. i understand demand dictates price but it seemed very high for a three star quality inn.

i agreei concur with some of the previous comments. i have travelled the usa and have stayed at many 3-5 star inns and hotels. most are consistant with the star levels but the 1842 seems to fall way short of the 4 star or 4 diamond level given them by AAA.

i agree, what four stars????i agree, where are the four stars???? i only counted 2 1/2 at best. regardless of service and cleanliness, everthing else was lacking in quality expected of a b&b or hotel rated four stars.

overbooked????had one night reservations the first weekend of the cherry blossum festival. i new thing would be a little busy in macon during this week and booked and confirmed the reservation many months in advance. eventhough, i had confirmed with a credit card my room was not available. they could not explain the reason for not having a room other than it ...22 of 23 Yahoo! it was okayTraveling from Birmingham to Orlando--stayed on our wedding night at the 1842 Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room I thought was large enough for the two of us and was clean. The shower could have used a little cleaning maybe or just an update. The Inn was very difficult to find from the interstate. It could be a little overpriced, but this was my first stay at a B and B.
