If you're visiting JMU's campus, the location is the best of any hotel/motel around. However, if you plan to stay any more than a night or two, then find another place. Consider the accommodations here in the same category as "camping out"; comfortable enough for a night or two --then you want to go home.

This place is the worst smelling dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in PERIOD. The staff was nice but that was the only plus here. The whole place smells like an ashtray mixed with dirty feet! The bathroom had dirty floors and tub. The tub was faded in places and the wall surrounding the tub had mildew growth. DISGUSTING! We cut our visit short and checked out as none of us were brave enough to use the bathrooms!

I can't believe that I stayed at the same hotel some of the other reviews discussed. My room (non smoking) smelled terrible. My bed (bedspread and pillows) had an obvioius body oder like smell to it and the staff was extremely rude to me when I complained about it. This hotel was VERY CLEAN and that is a big plus with me. I was shocked at how nice it was. It was conveniently located off 81. Staff was friendly and the pool/spa was a nice touch for the family.
