I was so excited to take my son to the Sea Witch and Fiddle Fest for his 3rd Birthday. I reserved a room well in advance b/c I knew this would be a busy weekend and I have stayed here many times before. I walked into the room and there was NO safty lock on the door. As soon as I used the lower lock my son unlocked our room and was out into the ...

This is ok for price/location. I would have to say that if you are pretty desperate for a 1 to 2 night stay, then this is fine. If you are looking for a comfortable/somewhat accommodating place to stay for a week or even almost a week, then keep looking. The beds are the worst in the world. Its like laying on a brick, every morning my wife and I ...

Great Location and excellent Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/09
The Sandcastle is in a great location in Rehoboth. It sits on the Blvd which is close to everything. The Motel itself was great for the money paid. The Staff is great, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. We left some valuables in the room on accident and thanks to the wonderful, honest and helpful staff it was all there! The rooms are ...
We thought the rooms were fine...nothing fancy, but we weren't there much. The location was wonderful, and the staff was very nice. We were a little disconcerted that the pool area was 100 degrees, but when we asked if we could open some doors to create some air, they were fine with that, and what a difference that made! The parking garage ...

I would return again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/07
The Sandcastle was a pleasant surprise! Having never stayed there they were the only Hotel who offered 1 night stays for a Off Season weekend (29 Sept). Front desk staff were very nice. The hall ways were somewhat dingy and gave us a "false" impression. What a relief when the room door was opened. The room was very clean, bathroom was ...

Great for the price)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/07
If your looking for 5 star quality, well, you need to look elsewhere, but if your looking for a clean room with no frills, well.... This is your place to stay. You can not beat the location, your right on the main street of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Face it, who goes to a beach to spend all their time in their room. You sleep there and get up and go have fun. Stay there, save money and that will help you enjoy your vacation too.)
This is a no frills motel, but it is only 2 blocks off the beach, there is an indoor heated pool with a shower and changing room, and outdoor deck overlooking the busiest street in Rehoboth Beach. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the price is absolutely amazing, considering the prime location. There are even reasonably priced family-sized rooms with 4 double beds, under $200/night in peak season. UNHEARD of in this location!!

Will return in better weather
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/07
A cheerful, helpful and considerate staff helped brighten up a stay dampened by cold and cloudy weather. The facility is not new though it generally seemed well-maintained particularly the pool. The room was quiet and the mattress was firm for a good night's sleep. The parking garage and driveways which provide access to it are cramped but so are most parking garages. The location is excellent particularly for the price.
We were very pleased with our stay. It's so close to the boardwalk and beach and the room rate was great. The hotel does need some upgrading but the rooms were in good shape and very clean. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful during our stay. We definitely will be going back next year.
Sandcastle is in a GREAT location right on Rehoboth Avenue and Second. It has an indoor pool which is awesome, but it's not the most asthetically pleasing place I've stayed... the rooms look very old and in need of updating.
They do offer something very unique for Rehoboth. A room which has (4) double beds. This is incredible. ...
