I liked the spacious room and the quiet set back off the road location,
the simple breakfast, the microwave and the TV.
I felt cheated by the promise of transportation from Duke hospital to the hotel. I made the transportation reservation weeks in advance, then an hour in advance, was assured it was coming for me, then half an hour later was told it was not coming. Flat out deception.

Wife gagged from stench in room. Bed as soft as cotton. Flies beat us in the door like lifting a trash can lid. Owner would not credit amount charged but wanted to haggle over what he was going to do. Minus (5) stars.

This place is designed to rip-off graduating students and parents. First, they changed the price of my reservation on me. Second, after showing me a superior room and assuring me that I would be able to stay in said room, they changed my room after I handed over my credit card to a dingy, smelly, inhospitable space. The service here is absolutely horrible, and the concierge will flat-out lie to your face. Do NOT stay here.

I selected this hotel for the convenience of location in proximity to Duke Medical Center. The location and front office staff were great. Everything else was questionable. First, the room was not very clean - floor unvacuumed my entire 3 day stay, dirty fridge and microwave, and basically just a "dingy looking" room. ...

I really liked this place. It was clean, convenient and had extra amenities the competing hotels didn't have. The free shuttle service to the hospital was so nice compared to parking.

i disliked this place because a few times the rooms were filthy and they did nnot hav any towels available. i would not go back to the place at all. the house keepers did not want to come and clean. also i had a few things from my room missing

The beds are great in the king rooms. Room was not cleaned properly. They are re-painting, etc. the rooms, just covering up "old and run down" and it is not working so well. The soda machine out front took my money, the cashier just said, " it's a new machine", and no refund was given. There is great wired internet acess, as ...
