We just stayed at Tropic Seas Resort and it was a perfect vacation! Right on the beach, close to town so we could walk to stores, we didn't even have to rent a car. We had our own kitchen which was great for the days we didn't want to go out. The hotel looks like it was recently renovated and the grounds were great.

Nice courtyard, pool and beach area. But the place is literally falling apart. We found a large (2 1/2 to 3 inch) live cockroach in the room on three of our 5 days there. Not nearly as nice as other beach side motels or other non-beach side motels on El Mar in LBTS. They have a few construction jacks holding up the second floor in places. They should tear down and rebuild the motel part. The rest of the resort is very nice.

From the very beginning of the stay the management made it extemeley difficult to emjoy our stay. The resort was near our family and they did not want them to step foot in their resort even for a short while in our own rooms. We booked a queen bed and we received a full.

Right on the beach. Small, comfortable and casual. Not new, but very nice. We were there in 2002 and again for a family Thanksgiving gathering in 2004. We just love the atmosphere here. Very friendly. The resort is starting to age...hopefully the owner will keep the property up.

Our family loved the place. We've been there twice. It's very family oriented, cozy, close distance to the beach and within walking distance to shops. We're planning our third stay.
