We were in 2006. Hotel has a good pool and beach. Little bit boring in the evenings.
If you gonna to stay, take full board (all inclusive), because here is nowhere to go in Bentota.

Well what can we say about our stay at the Bentota Beach Hotel. The hotel was set in splendid gardens and a lovely pool set within these. We loved the place, all the staff so friendly and helpfull, the food was really good and no problems at all with our wedding. Photographs and video were great and everything went according to plan.
Only criticism is that the stage wasnt lit very well at the evening entertainment - that was the only thing we can say on the negative side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing all our friends there again soon!

We absolutely love going here. The drive from the airport can be a little daunting (3 hours) and recommend going 'private' as the minivans get hotter and the journey is longer with drop-offs. Just returned from 3 weeks holiday in Sri Lanka. We stayed at the Bentota Beach Hotel for 12 nights on an all inclusive package.

We found the hotel to be an excellent location for a family holiday. My two children loved the pool, close proximity of the sea, the water sports and of course riding the 2 resident elephants.

As usual the place was fantastic. I ate too much food and the drinks were continuous. Now I have to wait a whole year before I go back!
