I loved going into this hotel as I visited Madagascar. I stayed there 4 different times during my trip. I looked forward to the marble bath and lovely soaps and the great breakfasts....brioche with lime marmalade. The help was superb. The spa was first class. The rooms had lovely fabrics on the windows and bed. I'd say it was a 5 star without the stuffiness so often associated with fancy hotels.

After various dusty days on the road, we turned up late one evening hoping to get a room in the new tower and did. It was like arriving in paradise...More like a european 5 star than it's four, not cheap, but well worth the price. As the other comment said, it has an amazing SPA in the basement. Well worth every penny. Next time I'd check out the cheaper rooms in the older part.

We had a double room with terrace in the new building of the hotel and is was lovely. That, the good service plus free access to the splendid spa they have in the basement made it well worth the money. The Hilton is sad, 70s and grey in comparison.
