Ive booked a trip to the senegambia beach hotel in march,i keep reading really conflicting views about the place,has anybody been there recently who could give me a general idea of what to expect within the hotel and surrounding area. thanks

couldnt fault it,the location was supreme,right next to the. beach.short walk from the hotel is an array of bars and restaurents,very bustling and very friendly.going back in jan 2007.

It was my first visit to the Gambia.
The food is good, the location as well. The new management seemed working hard. I loved the singer at the Safari bar! He plays back the music and sing in 15 different languages! Wow!

I have visited the Senegambia Hotel on 16 occasions (visit twice a year)and have enjoyed each visit more than the time before. We did notice a reduction in standards over years and we were giving thought of changing hotels. However new management took over in 2005 and immediate improvements were noticeable. been to this hotel 2 years running and love it.you could not get a more friendlier place on the planet.room basic,(this is africa).staff fab.the food was fine,plenty to chose from.we are returning again next year to see all our lovely frienda that we ave made.

the hotel has changed for the worse, haveing stayed here five times i was unhappy with the changes made by the new owners,and to see all the bumpsters back was alarming .

everyone is friendly, its basic but if you just want a nice relaxing holiday its perfect, dont be put off by the beach boys be nice but sturn and they will leave you alone, i have to say though these beach boys are a great source of entertainment and i have had a laugh and made some very good friends with amny
