*Their breakfast is not free even though you pay 195dollars+tax per night
*Check your bill very carefully, the front desk might charge you for stuff you havent consumed especially from the minibar.
*The website promises dinner on day of arrival but when you get there there is no such thing

Overall it was below expectations for such a high price, yet it is really hard to get a room, book at least 3WEEKS in advance

I have stayed in Hilton for business. The hotel does not accept local currency unless you have an exchange reciept from the hotel for the same amount or higher. The rooms are not air conditioned. The pool is nice, food is fair,location is far from the city. Hotel facilities are OK, but does not resemble any Hilton I have been in.
I would rather recommend the Sheraton

The Hilton is really a great hotel. A little worn around the edges, but it has a great feel - not nearly as stuffy as the Sheraton. Unfortunately, the food is just awful, which is difficult when traveling on business. Avoid the restaurant altogether in the morning and head to the pastry shop around the corner for breakfast. Otherwise find somewhere else to eat.

Have you met any HHonors gold or diamond member that gets a room in the executive floor in this hotel? Not me in one year. No they are sold for full price to other clients. This is even scornfully announced at the front desk. Everywhere in the world i get as a HHonors Gold member the guaranteed privileges. But not in this Hotel. You don't believe it?`Check it out.

The hotel is nice....the location good....food absolutely awful....service exceptionally slow and uninformed....room key cards constantly deactiviating.... and worst of all the aggressive gun wielding guards on the front entrance

I loved this place because of the beautiful lakes, rivers, and mountains. I also loved the way the beautiful people of Ethiopia made the hotel a one and only resort to go to if you went to Ethiopia. The language, customs, and country are more than extraordinary, they're magical. I can't wait to go again.

Watch out for the sharks at reception! Checked in late on a Sunday night and to my amazement found that I was booked in on the 12th floor at US$215+ taxes = US$265!!. Efforts at trying to change to a normal room were disastrous. Ended up checking out in disgust at the antics the front desk used to rip me off. By the way no one at bothers to ...

True, the swimming pool of the Hilton in Addis Ababa is set in a beautiful surrounding but beware of the disgusting habit of the locals to blow their noses in the water and release the content therein !!

When this happened next to my wife swimming in the pool, she complained with the pool guard who did not even bother to throw the person out ...
