Traveling from CA to attend a wedding, not only were we looking forward to the ceremony, my wife and I were excited about having a romantic getaway. Lets just say that didn't happen. Food service was incomplete-- no dressing on the salad; uncooked vegetables; 1/2 inch slice of cake. Waitress told us that they didn't order enough cakes for the guests and had to carve the tiniest piece possible.

I have read numerous reviews about the ocean view inn and its dining... for the most part all negative and obviously outdated. My experience there was excellent... outstanding views, helpful friendly staff. Our room, simply put was amazing. We ate breakfast and dinner, the food portions where a bit large but delicious, our waitress was charming and extremely helpful in planning our site seeing.

The place is a dump period. Dropped almost 200.00 on dinner and it was the worst food I have ever had, tasteless bland and served cool not cold but almost,

The room was filthy I swear they don't change the sheets between customer stays, the staff was rude and unhelpful, and did I mention the noise? Horrible experience please don't waste your money much better places to stay at Bass Rocks just a few doors down, same view.

We had a room for 3 nights in the low building behind the pool. We stayed 2 nights and bailed out the 3rd. Overall condition is good. Cleanliness was fair. Condition of room is fair. This was our second stay. I felt the restaurant was a little over priced and we didn't have a refridgerator in our room. But overall it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were not luxury , but comfortable and clean.I definitely would go back!

The first impression upon arrival at the Ocean View is the lovely Inn. That is were it ends. This resort is overpriced and needs numerous updates. I believe it is a fine place nice and a GREAT view.But the rooms are a little dirty and old.I love the location VERY much and the pool is great but hygine not so much.
