great placeThis was our 2nd time visiting Myrtle Beach i was very cautious of where to stay but the Avista resort was great it was clean and the people were very friendly and the cleaning service was great too.
My dislikes were the slow elevators but then i had to understand with soo many floors how fast can they real be . and there are no public ...SHOW FULL REVIEW

Will never go backI will never go back. There was sand all over the ground and the wind blew constantly. They do not have sound barrier walls in front to block the extremely loud sound of the ocean. I would stay there again! Loved it!After reading the other reviews, I was somewhat hesistant about staying here. However, as soon as we walked in the door, my fears were allayed. The hotel lobby was clean and spacious, the staff courteous and friendly. Our room was clean, and had all the amenities we were promised. Poor Service, Resort going south in a hurryWe booked over 9 months in advance and were promised a unit on floors 9-14 with a 300.00 deposit. This place was joke!My husband and I stayed at the avista for our honeymoon. When we arrived in our room, it was flooded and the matress was not even on the bed. We called down to management and they said that they would get it cleaned up and ready for us. Well, we went to eat and they when we arrived back, we couldn't even get into our room. never book on .linegot there and they had changed my show pkg,I booked two christmas shows on line,one vip,one gold,got there and only got one shows tickets and we we so far in the back we couldnt see,not worth the 100 dollars I paid,also order a avista pkg of roses in the room,u think they were there,this place was a joke,save your money,,2 of 2 Yahoo! Definitely go back again.Yes had a wonderful experience and the staff was very courtieus and helpful. The condo-rooms were nice and had all the amenities required. Will NEVER plan a vacation with them again!I planned our vacation with the Avista Resort while i was home on leave from Iraq. I received confirmation of our dates and room. I flew for 24 hours to come home from Iraq. I then drove for 12 hours to the Avista. When I arrived at the Avista they told me my reservation had been cancelled.
