I loved the location- though the lack of parking was a drag... the proximity to Hollywood, Universal Studios, downtown LA and the subways was very nice. It was funky- in a good way- very clean and comfortable.... I almost felt transported back in time when I walked through the door.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, everything worked in ...

What I like about this place is the location. What I don't like is the dingy curtains and the view from my room.(garbage dumpsters from the apartment next door) But the manager is very nice and helpful and the place has a certain charm and feel to it. Ask him questions about anything in town-he knows alot! The rooms are all the same and ...
Prior to going there i had not planned to stay more than 2 days ,, but after my first day of stay i decide to spend my whole week in that hotel only. Location was really superb ,, great view from window and lots and lots of restaurants nearby just on walking distance ,,, services of hotel staff too needs to be appreciated.
I stayed there last month for a week. I would say it is the one of hotel with good location. View from the room's window was awesome!! . There are lot of cafe outside the hotel just on 1 minute walk distance.
I found location really good. I enjoyed my weekends at Westside Rentals Hollywood hotel and would like to go there again and again. I liked each and every thing about it...

Needs better/more management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/07
The availability of management here is horrible. When they are around they are okay, but after a certain time they are unavailable. They need more personnel, and they need to be more available to their guests.
Also, its not in the best neighborhood and I found that the lack of safety in the neighborhood extended inside the hotel.
While looking for an apartment, my husband and I stayed in this hotel (room 211) for a week. When we first walked into the room, we noticed strange smell in the room and several strands of hair on comforter and bed sheet. We started to wonder how often they cleaned the room. It turned out that during the whole week we stayed there, they never ...

Booked Early, Then Didn't Even get to Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/07
Trust me, don't book this hotel. I booked with the manager early April for 2 nights Memorial day weekend. We drove 7 hours to get there, and then he said he overbooked it and wouldn't even give us a room. He didn't even call to let us know. He then proceeded to lie, and tell us he had another hotel in Downtown LA, which was really nice ...

Except for checking in we never saw any staff. We went to Universal and Disneyland but when we left and when we came back there was never anybody around and the office was always closed.

Not the Hotel Advertised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/06
When I arrived to this hotel I first noticed that it was not the hotel in the picture! It is not in a great section of town at all. There is no elevator in the hotel. We were told if we needed maid service or towels to leave a note on the door. They advertised that they had internet available. You can plug your laptop in and they say that they ...
