  • Motel Six on the beach

    We booked this room for 8 days. We booked the room with the direct ocean front view. Trouble was they neglected to wash the glass on the patio door so the view was through dirt. Upon checkin the bedspread had a blood stain on it and they had no replacement so they did give us a brand new blanket. The pillows on the bed are something from the Dollar ...

  • Very nice hotel

    The hotel was great. Very clean updated staff was great. My husband and I did not like Tybee Island and will not go back. But if you like that sort of thing and you like Tybee then this is the right Hotel.

  • great place to stay

    Great place to stay. comfortable beds. clean and updated. great shower. lots of hot water. We did not have a beach front room. Nice pool area and some chairs on beach. Good breakfst bar. I would stay again. Only thing is it is far from main part of town.

  • Awesome Trip

    The staff and facilities were great. We stayed a week and would have loved to have stayed longer. Unfortunately, we had to go back to the real world of work. We will be
    making plans in the next couple of months to return next summer.
    If you ever go to the Desota Beach Hotel, you won't want to stay anywhere else.

  • Lots of Money for little view

    The staff was ok, but the view was of the parking lot - and all the other guests stared right into our room - we had a small view of the ocean - and we paid top dollar for the stay! Parking is very limited - and no we won't be going back!

    ...just returned from our third stay at the DeSoto and it was the best yet....the new manager has made a distinctive difference...service was great, room was excellent and everyone on staff was cooperative and made us feel at home...we already made our reservation for 2008...if you haven't been there yet, you're missing a true Tybee experience.

    The first time we stayed we didn't know what to expect from the hotel and made reservations in the only room available. The stay was nice, the location good. It is on the beach and the pool was clean and uncrowded. The 2nd time we stayed we knew the layout of the hotel and we booked far in advance. They offered us an oceanview room (at ...

  • EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY!

    We spent 3 nights at the Desoto Hotel on Tybee Islad. We would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay. The location is great...so close to the beach. I will definitely stay here again. Customer service was great!

    We loved the location, the room was nice, floor was clean, no sand. Our room was very quiet. We even saw dolpins the morning we checked out. The beach was beautiful, and the sunrise was awsome. We enjoyed our own balcony overlooking the ocean. We had no problems, and enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again. I would recomend asking for the rooms overlooking the straight on view.
