A housekeeper/owner at the resort called my husband worthless for sleeping in one day. The pillows were filthy...they looked like someone had urinated on them. The towels are probably bought from a thrift store. The owners are lacking customer service skills they apparently think it is cute to say rude things to their high paying customers.

If you have to stay here, make sure you end up in the 3-story building and NOT in one of the older units. We were extremely disappointed to have paid over $100 a night for a tiny, cinderblock room with miserably uncomfortable beds, a damp, uncarpeted floor, no phone, no clock, no coffee maker and a TV that was too old to be remote-compatible. I like the rooms, the veiw, the pool, however we were smacked with a $100.00 cleaning fee for smoking in the room, when no one smoked in the room, we just left the door cracked while others were sitting OUTSIDE watching the fireworks and smoking. I stayed at this resort last summer for vacation and I thought it was excellent!! I hope to go back soon!

Great place for reunions. Excellent waterskiing. Good for fishing and day trips to Branson. Not much else to do in Shell Knob.
